Top Four Movies

Ok ok, it should be top 5 but I'm not quite ready to commit to a fifth.

In no particular order...

Godfather part one
I mean, come on, has a better mafia movie ever been made??? And anyone who even mentions Goodfellas is going to be smacked. Hard. Twice. I wanted to name my daughter Appollonia but the wifey wouldn't have it.

Godfather part two
You can't have one without the other. As if finding out what happens next isn't enough, this one takes you back to see how it all got started.

To Sir With Love
This one gets me everytime. The tension, the frustration, Sidney Poitier gives you so much emotion with having to say a lot. He takes a classroom of disrespectful kids and offers them another road they can take. Allows them to see that they have more possibilities in life than they've been led to believe...and that it all starts with them.

Its a wonderful Life
Love this movie for so many reasons. I remember watching it first with my mom when I was a wee lad and getting caught up in it. Then a few years passed and I was at my Dads for the weekend watching it. When you can't hold back getting teary-eyed watching a movie with your Dad, you know its a good movie. And now many years later, close to being able to recite the whole movie, I still love it and still get filled with the same emotion.

I'll expound more on this topic...probably enlarge the list to ten eventually...gotta throw the Star Wars trilogy up there...and LOTR...Matrix maybe...Easy Rider...the list goes on and on...but these four are movies that I can lose myself in everytime I watch them.

Smooth
